Some truth about attachment

  1. The human brain craves familiarity even when it's unhealthy. That's why walking away feels wrong, even when it's right.
  2. Dopamine makes us chase, oxytocin makes us stay, and fear makes us tolerate less than we deserve.
  3. Attachment isn't always love. Sometimes, it's just the fear of losing what's familiar.
  4. The nervous system doesn't register 'red flags'. It registers comfort. That's why healing feels uncomfortable at first.
  5. Choosing yourself isn't losing them. It's breaking the cycle that made you think you ever needed to beg for love.
